Remote Education

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought many challenges to education. The lockdowns in the spring terms of 2020 and 2021 brought about the quick development of remoted education possibilities for schools. You can read our Remote Education Policy on our policies page.

We use Google Classroom to make learning opportunities available to children who are isolating due to Covid-19. In lockdown periods we deliver live lessons through the same platform, which children attending school access at the same time. During lockdowns, the school will priorities attendance at school for vulnerable children (access to social care; with an EHCP; looked after children) and children of keyworkers.

As the parent / carer job roles change, along with the definitions around keyworkers, we will undertake a review of children able to access these spaces each time a lockdown is necessary. The priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our community.

Please see the documents below for some supporting guidance around Covid-19 and the measures in school.
