Chesterton Primary School is a growing school set in the heart of Chesterton. Our children are lively, gregarious and full of enthusiasm for learning. I am delighted that I have been asked to be the Interim Headteacher whilst our substantive Headteacher, Kate Yeoman, is on maternity leave.
I know all the staff at Chesterton love working at the school and try really hard to ensure that your child is safe, secure and happy whilst at school, as well as achieving to their potential academically. The school is part of the Active Learning Trust which has recently had a very successful OfSTED inspection highlighting the fantastic work they do with their schools. Here at Chesterton we have benefited enormously from being part of this team.
On our website you will find information regarding the school, the staff, the curriculum and any policies we follow. If you wish to have a paper copy of any of our policies, they are available in the school office free of charge.
Whilst your child is at our school, we offer you the opportunity to come in and meet the teachers at least once per term where we discuss topics with you such as how we assess your child’s learning and what the curriculum. We relish these opportunities to share this information with you and look forward to seeing you at these meetings. If, however, you need to speak to us at other times, please make an appointment through the office or speak to your class teacher when you drop your child off in the morning. We will always try to see you as soon as we can.
I am usually on the gate first thing in the morning and also at home time and look forward to seeing you then.
